Lord Of The Flies By William Golding And Mary Shelly

Irreversible actions that someone regrets can change a person for the worse in a split second. Evil is impacted by the society around it because it can influence people to act and think differently and it can cause people to get hurt. Societal Evil is present in the following books, Lord of the Flies by William Golding and Frankenstein by Mary Shelly. The societies in these books affected different characters for the worse. When society influences evil it is so powerful that it can impact a society to the point that people will follow the wrong leaders, hurt other people and falsely generalize others, these can be so damaging that the society can make false assumptions on the person and can make the society fall apart. Society can persuade people to change their own beliefs and follow the lead of a group that think and act completely different. In his article Gillett explored the ideas of how doctors decide to let people die even though they do not want to. G.R Gillett author of â€Å"Why Let People Die?† explains how doctors work as a whole to make decisions that are crucial to the health of a patient by stating: Given that in these matters the lay person and the doctor are in substantial agreement, much of what I consider to be the presuppositions of both may well be regarded as touristic but I hope they will serve to shed some light on important features of our ethical thinking in medicine. In particular I hope to provide reasons for the abandonment of active intervention,
